This camera test came out of working with several different Sony cameras over the past several months. I happened to be in a position to record samples with an A7s, a Fs5, and my PXW-X70 and RX10ii. I shoot a variety of content, some if it requiring very high end imagers and some of it requiring more nimble and cost efficient rigs. The burning question on set for a few days was “how well could all of these Sony cameras cut together if they were used on the same project?”. Although the test captured here isn’t that dynamic, it does give a sense of how the different sensors and lens deliver results. The Fs5 footage wasn’t available, but if I get it, I’ll amend the video.
